We are proud to welcome Amanda Underwood, NP-C to our heart care team at Cardiology Associates of East Tennessee! Learn more about Amanda below.
Amanda joins board-certified interventional cardiologist Ayaz Rahman, MD in the structural heart program at Parkwest Medical Center.
The program provides specialized care for patients with structural heart disease (defects in the heart’s valves, wall or chambers) through the collaboration of a multidisciplinary team of cardiothoracic surgeons, interventional cardiologists, and anesthesiologists. Patients who, in the past, were told undergoing conventional open heart surgery was not possible now have hope through the minimally invasive surgical techniques offered through the structural heart program.
